What's in the box?

Red Gamay MVB
Vivanterre, 2019
Gamay
France
The second of two wines released this year by the fledgling project Vivanterre, made with grapes sourced from old vines in Moulin-à-Vent, a region of Beaujolais known for making wines that are slightly darker and fuller-bodied in nature, with subtle spice that balances out the fruitiness and red berries.
Ull de Llebre
Joan Rubió, 2019
Ull de Llebre
Spain
Very much known for his whites, the Ull de Llebre (or Tempranillo) is Joan Rubio’s first red wine, made from a small parcel of forgotten grapes, which gave its first vintage in 2018. For a medium-bodied Tempranillo, the wine goes down very smoothly, with strong notes of red berries and a little tannin.
Trebbiolo
La Stoppa, 2019
Barbera, Bonarda
Italy
La Stoppa’s Elena Pantaleoni has produced a staple of the Italian scene, natural or otherwise, with her blend of Barbera and Bonarda. Together they make an earthy but berry-sweet, medium-bodied winner that somehow puts you in mind of both a rustic Italian red and a juicy Beaujolais. ⁣
Bowjoelay Nuvoe
Domaine des Moriers for T.N.W.C., 2020
Gamay
France
All hail Bowjoelay Nuvoe, our unofficial version of Beaujolais Nouveau and the first ever vintage bottled exclusively for The Natural Wine Company by Domaine des Moriers: a light, acidic, juicy Gamay, made to be drunk openly and unsparingly and kept for a few months only!
Jardin
Domaine Zélige-Caravent, 2018
Carignan
France
We were talking recently to a sommelier who’d paired wines with the collection of a fashion designer, based on colour and texture, and for us this wine immediately came to mind, given its velvety feel. Made with 100% old-vine Carignan, the red has a slight floral note and a good touch of funk.⁣
Sin
Sin, 2018
Tempranillo
2018
This is the first vintage of the SIN Tempranillo, but it comes from the same well-established producers behind the Els Vinyerons label. With only two days’⁣ maceration, this is a softer version of Tempranillo, but with a lot of character: you’ll notice the sun-ripened fullness of a Spanish red, but the wine itself is surprisingly refreshing.
